So we made it safe and sound to NYC. It's been a long day! Our flight and taxi drive to Midtown went great and total travel time was about 2 hours. We can't believe we're actually here! It seems surreal! The apartments we are staying at are a part of The King's College, which is right in the center of Manhattan. If we look out our bedroom window, we can see Macy's out our window and the street right where the Thanksgiving Day parade goes through. We're also just a short walk from the Empire State Building (which houses some of The Kings College classrooms/meeting areas) and Times Square. It's been a pretty busy day today, and there will be many more ahead of us. We'll definitely have to get used to the busyness of our new schedule for the next 6 weeks. Be praying for us as the next 6 days will be spent orienting ourselves to the city, learning more about what our ministry will look like this summer, and getting to know our fellow Crusade staff members.
